Monthly Bible Reading Plan ~ June
As I spent the majority of this month praying for something new, God has saw fit to grant my heart's desire. This month, we kick off weekly newsletters going out! I am seriously so excited for this because I know it will help each of us (is it weird I signed up for my own newsletter? Oh well, that's me!) stick with it and give us more time to enjoy God's presence. No more having to go to the website just to view the reading plan! Raise your hand if you are excited! đââď¸
So, as you can see...not much has changed on this front. This blog will be updated with the shareable graphics and verses each week. We hope you enjoy this new adventure God is taking us on as much as we enjoy it.
This month, we are going to look at what it's like to follow Jesus. We read of many who Jesus instructed to "follow me." What does that look like for you right now? Well, you're about to see over the next month what that looks like for my family and I as we navigate life with God's word and an amazing church home.
Do me a favor and comment below with any prayer requests you have as you check in this month. If anything, give me a word you'd like for me to pray over you. I believe in the power of prayer and know for a fact my husband was healed because of our faith in prayer and the Resurrection power of Christ.Â
We're praying for peace and provision this month. Thanks for joining us on our journey! Love and blessings!
Â
Day 1
Daily Reading: Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the words of God. But you donât listen because you donât belong to God.â And though I have no wish to glorify myself, God is going to glorify me. He is the true judge. ~ John 8:47â, âŹ50 NLT
Insight: You don't need to fight. You don't need to argue. You've got nothing to prove. God will glorify your deeds. He doesn't need someone's permission. He doesn't need a monetary payment from you. All He needs, is your obedience. Simple, right?
Not always.
Am I the only one going through a season of stretching? Sometimes I feel like I'm at my breaking point, and just like that rubber band that's pulled to tight, I'm about to pop.
Other times, I am confident and feel like I've got it all together.
This is why we can't go by our feelings! We have to rely upon the Word of God to direct us, teach us, instruct us, etc. Let's face it, without Him, we're just shooting in the dark. #gimmegodorgimmenothing
Day 2
Daily Reading: And many followed him. âJohn didnât perform miraculous signs,â they remarked to one another, âbut everything he said about this man has come true.â And many who were there believed in Jesus. ~ John 10:41â-âŹ42 NLT
Insight: What if your calling is to simply serve and testify? That's what John's was. Like the Bible says, he did no miraculous works, but he did prophesy of Jesus' ministry & served many by baptizing them.
We often think God needs us to get behind a pulpit, writing books, creating new worship music, etc., but really all he needs is our obedience.
The Bible says the workers are few. Is that because even after we are saved, we put ourselves on a pedestal, believing God can only do big and glorious things through us?
In my humble opinion, there is nothing bigger than affecting (for their better) the lives of those around us; ministering to those individuals day in and day out, by action, and with the love of God.
Sometimes we need to let go of pride & remember, God doesn't need us, but He does like including us and using us. He gets great glory when, as we walk, we become more and more sanctified by the work of the Holy Spirit.
Pride will tell you that what you're doing is not enough. Christ compels you to go after the one and leave the 99. If this is so, why are so many of us not satisfied when we impact just one life for the sake of the Lord?
I believe God wants to restore the home, as He sees it; Mother's taking care of and teaching their children, fathers providing and offering support and encouragement. How can we ever get to that point, though, when we believe serving our family isn't God's work, or even worse, enough to be fulfilled? Fostering our children's friendship with God is so important. Remember, long before they were our children, they were God's children (and still are).
The Bible is full of illustrations of people living out their everyday life, serving God. Many didn't make it into the good book because of miraculous signs, they made it because of their obedience; Rahab, Abraham, Ruth, Hannah, Ester, you get the point.
Don't let pride talk you out of your calling. No matter how important or unimportant, big or little, YOU see something, God uses those everyday decisions to bring us closer to Him. You don't have to be notorious. After all, who should be getting the glory, but God? #somethingtothinkabout
Day 3
Daily Reading: When Jesus had tasted it, he said, âIt is finished!â Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. ~ John 19:30 NLT
Insight: Notice how Jesus spoke, the vernacular & tense he used. He could have said, "It had been finished" or "I finished it," but instead he says, "it is finished." I believe this was to ensure that no matter what generation God decided for us to be born into, it would speak to our hearts in the present.
Notice how it would be hard for us to feel a personal connection had he said it any other way. Even with his last breath, he was ministering to us.
Take a few minutes to just sit in the Lord's presence and listen. What is it he is declaring over you today?
Day 4
Daily Reading: No one is holy like the Lord! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God. ~ 1 Samuel 2:2 NLT
Insight:  There is no one else who can compareâŚ
Not your wife
Not your husband
Not your children
Not your mama
Not your daddy
Not your granmama
Not your grandaddy
Not your best friend
Not your acquaintances
Not your enemyâŚ
To God
He is the Alpha & Omega
The Beginning & The End
The All-Sufficient One
The Lord God Almighty
The Most High God
The Passover Lamb
He is All-knowing, All-powerful Mighty God!
Join me for a moment and let's just give praise to the maker of Heaven & Earth! #praisingGod #excusemewhileipraise
Day 5
Daily Reading: I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. ~ John 17:15 NKJV
Insight: Did you know Jesus prays for us? Specifically that we would be kept from the evil one?
How powerful is that?! The Son of God petitions for our safety! I don't know about you, but I'm so incredibly thankful for that!
We needn't worry or fight, because Jesus, our Savior, is saving us from more than just an eternity in hell. What a peace it brings to my soul knowing Christ didn't just die so that I could be saved from eternity in hell but also so that he could petition God to save us from the plight of the evil one.
He has overcame death and therefore, has overcome all the powers of darkness. All Praise be to the lamb, the Holy One of God!đđđ
Day 6
Daily Reading: So Jesus said to Peter, âPut your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?â ~ John 18:11 NKJV
Insight: We have each been given a cup. Everyone who lives on earth will carry a burden & endure their own ordained suffering/cross.
I believe the dilemma we face is accepting it and believing that God can bring glory from those sufferings.
Why do we always second guess God? Don't think you have that problem? Then you must have answered every single call on your life, no matter how much suffering was involved, but not only that, you did so with poignant grace, never thinking about yourself & the suffering you were facing on behalf of the Kingdom.
Still think you have it all together? If so, then there's no need for Jesus.
Even Jesus prayed that the cup be taken, yet, he was willing to do the will of The Father. Are we better than Jesus? Absolutely not! So, if he battled the flesh in order to do the will of God, you better believe we will face the same.
So, what do we do when the calling on or life is bigger, more chaotic, or too much for us to handle? We do what Jesus did-we pray, and trust God.
We all have a cross to bear, but praise God, we don't have to do it alone.
Day 7
Daily Reading: Therefore David inquired of the Lord , saying, âShall I go and attack these Philistines?â And the Lord said to David, âGo and attack the Philistines, and save Keilah.â But Davidâs men said to him, âLook, we are afraid here in Judah. How much more then if we go to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?â Then David inquired of the Lord once again. And the Lord answered him and said, âArise, go down to Keilah. For I will deliver the Philistines into your hand.â ~ I Samuel 23:2â-âŹ4 NKJV
Insight: Even David had to deal with fear. We see in this passage that he prayed, received a word that required action, then went to his men to let them know the plan. However, those men instilled fear and in doing so, he sought the wisdom of the Lord again.
2 quick tips from this reading:
- Don't let your friends talk you out of a blessing.
- If fear or doubt start to sink in, take it to God. He is The Source!
If fear can affect David, a man after God's own heart, it can affect us too. What are you doing to combat fear? #prayingmywaythrough or #praisingmywaythrough
Day 8
Daily Reading: Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms. ~ Psalms 68:19 NLT
Insight: Don't worry! God's got you! The Bible says He carries us in his arms each day. I don't know about you but this just helps me to remember whose I am and the fear, worry, anxiety and depression DISAPPEAR! #darknessfleesatthenameofjesus
Day 9
Daily Reading: âYou would have no power⌠if it were not given to you from above.â ~ John 19:11 NLT
Insight: I think a lot of us envision worldly power when we read this, for instance, the way a CEO wields power, or perhaps the president, or better yet, a Roman governor. But when I read this verse today, I immediately thought of my son.
God entrusted me with much when He gave me a child. See, long before he was mine, He was God's. I feel such a strong pull to ensure I do whatever I can to keep him connected to God; learning about Jesus, who He is, why He's important, what role He plays in our lives, how we pray, how to read the Bible, etc.
This evening he [my son] came home from church and said that he needed to start praying for his purpose because he didn't know it. I realized then that I had missed a step. See friends, I believe our purpose is all the same; we are to glorify God. While the gifting and regard for how we do this is different for each of us, it doesn't negate the fact that is what we, every single one of us, is called to do in one way or another.
So tonight, we prayed...we prayed for discernment, revelation & wisdom. We prayed that God would allow His Holy Spirit to guide him and align his heart with The Father's. We prayed for protection, that there would be no interference or hindrance from the enemy concerning this matter. We thanked God for revealing His direction because there is no doubt, we know He will do it, because His word says He's faithful and we know Him to be faithful in more ways than one!
How are you wielding the power & authority you've been given? Can we pray for your child? Let us know so we can pray for your kids as well!
Day 10
Daily Reading: For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. Thereâs no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death. ~ 2 Corinthians 7:10 NLT
Insight: For those who believe your life will become rainbows and bunnies when you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior, I challenge your thoughts with this verse.
"For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation." Have you ever experienced something that, if given the opportunity, you wouldn't want to face again? If no, why is that? If yes, then maybe you're like me and realize that even during the most traumatic aspects of life, God was with me, desperately seeking ways for me to draw closer to Him.
I believe it's during those trying times in life that we have the ability to get the closest we can possibly get to God. Why? Well, because that's when God has drawn closest to me.
Now, my mind understands what my heart already knew...that God uses those sufferings to establish a stronger and closer connection to us.
I don't know what giant you are facing. I don't know what path you are walking down or what you are going through, but I do know The One who does...Jesus.
There isn't anything we face that He hasn't already. Can I remind you today that He is with you, and He will be with you until the end of the age!
Day 11
Daily Reading: Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyoneâespecially to those in the family of faith. ~ Galatians 6:10 NLT
Insight: When's the last time you did a simple act of kindness for someone? Can I encourage you to try to make someone feel loved today?
It doesn't take much...leave a sweet love note for your wife, husband or child to find, pay for the persons meal in the drive-thru behind you, offer to help put groceries in the trunk for an elderly person while you're out shopping, or call a friend to encourage that you may not have spoken with in a while.
We could all use more kindness! It starts with us! đđâ¤
Day 12
Daily Reading: And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. ~ Hebrews 10:25 NLT
Insight: Since I rededicated my life to Jesus, I've felt compelled to encourage others. Coming from a broken background, I remember feeling alone.
As I gain a better understanding of my gifts and how I can both fulfill my purpose and glorify God, I know for certain it entails writing, encouragement and prayer; the Lord showed me. However, I have yet to realize how all of this comes together.
I have been listening to God and walking in obedience for 2 years now. I left my job and began journaling. As God poured into me, I shared with others as He instructed me. This eventually birthed The Art of Prayer.
Truth be told, I don't know where I'm headed. For all I know, this may turn into a small business where I need help filling orders, posting to SM, etc. Or it could continue to be like it is now, just a girl with her Bible and art. Either way, I'm ok with whatever God has planned because I know that HE knows what's best for ME...not the other way around.
I encourage you today to step out in faith. I promise you, the life God has planned for you is better than anything you could dream for yourself! #godsplansovereverything
Day 13
Daily Reading: âDear woman, why are you crying?â the angels asked her. âBecause they have taken away my Lord,â she replied, âand I donât know where they have put him.â ~ John 20:13 NLT
Insight: Have you ever felt like you were in a spiritual desert? How did you combat it?
Earlier this year, this happened to me. At first, I did just what Mary did. I cried, âLord, where have you gone.â
Truth be told, it provided to me a glimpse of what Jesus must have felt when He took on the sin of the world and, nailed to the cross, felt the separation from The Father, crying out, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" (Ps 22:2, Mt 27:46)
However, I did not wallow. I kept searching. I kept on reading my Bible (even though I didnât always feel like it). I kept on praising. And more than anything, I kept praying, âLord, I need you. I need your direction. I need your presence.â
It was after that prayer one day that I heard, âRemember, I am always with you.â I quickly realized, I had everything I need in the Holy Spirit that dwelt within me.
Donât get me wrong, the presence of Jesus is essential. His love, comfort, joy, peace...it all radiates from that presence, however, the Holy Spirit is what sanctifies us and brings those gifts into our lives. And we can only receive them if we are willing to sacrifice ourselves for HIS glory.
So, how do we combat a spiritual desert? We put our feelings to the side and we keep doing what we are called to do...guard our hearts, renew our minds with Godâs word, continue to praise and believe that this will only last but a season. đđ #thistooshallpass
Day 14
Daily Reading: Then Jesus told him, âYou believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.â ~ John 20:29 NLT
Insight: Did you know youâre blessed? The Bible says we are blessed simply because we choose to believe even when we donât see. Howâs that for a blessing?!
Itâs kind of like when kids reap the reward because of the parentâs hard work. Letâs face it, they didnât earn the money for the family vacation, but they get to enjoy it, nonetheless.
Life isnât always easy. Sometimes it can be downright rough, but I want to remind you today that YOU ARE BLESSED! So, pick your head up, hold it high. You are a daughter (or son) of the King and you are BLESSED! đđđđ⤠#youareblessed
Day 15
Daily Reading: As for me, it matters very little how I might be evaluated by you or by any human authority. I donât even trust my own judgment on this point. ~ 1 Corinthians 4:3 NLT
Insight: I donât know about you, but I can totally relate to what Paul is saying here. âI donât even trust my own judgement at this point.â One day I feel like I got this walking with Jesus thing down, the next day, Iâm allowing doubt and fear to hit me over the head.
One thing I can say that I have been able to do, however, is that I have gotten to the point where I donât care what other people think yet. It took years for me, but I am finally thereâŚ.
The only personâs opinion of me that I am concerned with is The Father. And it should be the only opinion that matters to you, too. #onlygodcanjudgeme
Day 16
Daily Reading: My conscience is clear, but that doesnât prove Iâm right. It is the Lord himself who will examine me and decide. ~ 1 Corinthians 4:4 NLT
Insight: This is the exact reason that I do not trust my own judgement. If we add it to the verse we read yesterday, it makes perfect sense.
Just because we believe we are right, that doesnât necessarily mean that we are. Think about it, as we grow in God, we become more aligned to His word.
For someone like me, who did not grow up in a Godly house, there has been much the Lord has helped me change; from how I view myself, my gifts, and my body to how I treat others, how much time I offer to the Lord in worship and praise, and how much time I spend in His word each day.
The good news is that none of us are perfect. There is always room for God to do a new work in us. It really is as simple as asking the Lord to search your heart. However, you must also be willing to be obedient to where He leads you. Because He is faithful, He will answer such a prayer. You simply need to be ready to be obedient.
The Lord is our examiner. Whenâs the last time you asked him to search you heart and do something new in your life? If that has inspired you to do so, then get ready, and remember, obedience is key to your success! đđ
Day 17
Daily Reading: We work wearily with our own hands to earn our living. We bless those who curse us. We are patient with those who abuse us. ~ 1 Corinthians 4:12 NLT
Insight: My family and I recently wrote this on our refrigerator. For those of you who may not know, we have a chalkboard on the front that we put scriptures on to memorize. We leave the scriptures up until everyone has it memorized. Sometimes I do it, sometimes my son does it (He actually started it) and sometimes, my husband puts the scripture up.
This is such a beautiful scripture to live by. It blessed us having up for the few days as we memorized it. I pray it blesses you and that the Lord writes it upon your heart as He has ours. đâ¤Â
Day 18
Daily Reading: Donât you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. ~ 1 Corinthians 6:19â-âŹ20 NLT
Insight: Our lives are not our own. There are so many examples of this in Godâs Word. Why then, do we live like it is? We eat what we want, drink what we want, move (or donât move) depending on whether we want to or not, wear what we want, and treat our bodies as if they are really ours.
This may be surprising to learn, but they actually arenât ours. We donât get to keep them. In fact, they are on loan to us. Think about thatâŚ.no, donât rush this...really allow God to minister to you in this moment.
Every time you look at yourself and think or say something about your beauty (and I donât care what you look like. I assure you, you are one of the most beautiful creations in this universe, to God) that is negative in any way, you are judging Godâs creation. You are placing yourself higher than He.
Just because itâs your body, doesnât give you the right to think or talk about it as if itâs the worst thing in the world. As someone who struggled with self-hate, self-harm and suicidal thoughts as a teenager and young adult, this was critical to learn in my walk with Christ.Â
Itâ so much more too, as the temple for the Holy Spirit, it is so integral we begin to view our bodies as such in honor and glory to the God who saw fit to save us. If you, like me, struggle with this, know that you are not alone in this walk. Then, call out to the only one who can help you with how you view and treat yourself, Jesus.Â
After all, God canât use us to minister to others when weâre all wrapped up in ourselves. And though pride lies and tells you that insecurity it isnât a pride issue, when your thoughts are consumed with feelings about yourself, itâs still all about you...and no matter how you look at it, when itâs all about you, itâs pride, every...single...time. Are you honoring God with your body?Â
Day 19
Daily Reading: And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. ~ Colossians 2:6 NLT
Insight: The easiest part of our walk with Christ is accepting Him as our Lord and Savior. The work begins when we are baptized in the Holy Spirit and begin to let Godâs Spirit work in our lives.Â
This may be easier for you in some areas than for other areas. For instance, it may be easier for you to let go of a smoking habit than overcoming fear or doubt. Or, maybe you were set free from addiction, but now need to the Lord to help you learn a new coping mechanism to ensure you donât fall back into a trap.Â
Whatever your struggles, just remember, Christ is with us in our walk and itâs Him who strengthens us when we are weak. All we need to do is continue to be obedient and follow Him. #followingJesus
Day 20
Daily Reading: Offer sacrifices in the right spirit, and trust the Lord . ~ Psalms 4:5 NLT
Insight: Itâs all about our heart when it comes to God. I heard myself say, âIâve been running from this.â and âI did what God wanted, though I did it kicking and screaming.â
Iâve been honest. Iâve learned that even if how I feel may not be pleasing to God, the fact that I am honest with Him about it and follow through on my word to follow Him, is better than not doing so at all.
However, this is also something I am asking the Lord to help me with. Like the father in Mark 9:24, I pray, ââLord, I believe; help my unbelief!ââ I also ask him to help me trust Him more; that the Holy Spirit would remind me, when my flesh wants to fall into routine, that Christâs strength is made perfect in my weakness, and that the Lord would help me continue to move forward and trust in his perfect plan for my life.
See, itâs imperative we answer the call. When that telephone rings, it only rings for so long. After that, the call is forwarded to another. We only have so long to answer. And the quicker we answer, the more in alignment we stay with God. I am convinced of this.Â
As I continue to pray for all of this, I can sense that the Lord is helping to change my heart so that when He calls me forth, my attitude is ALWAYS , âHere I am, send me!â (Isaiah 6:8)đââď¸đââď¸â¤â¤ #trustinginGod
Day 21
Daily Reading: Whatever happens, my dear brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord. I never get tired of telling you these things, and I do it to safeguard your faith. ~ Philippians 3:1 NLT
Insight: #enoughsaid #godspeaksÂ
Day 22
Daily Reading: For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. ~ 2 Timothy 1:7 AMPC
Insight: This verse has been essential in my walk with Christ. When I cam facing fear, this is one scripture I call upon more times than I could ever count. When doubt and fear start to come knocking on the door, you tell them, âI am a child of God. I have not been given a spirit of fear or cowardice. I have been given a spirit of power, love and sound mind. Greater is He that is within me than He that is within the world.â
Then, make the decision to keep moving forward, even when youâre scared and feel like running. Do it when it feels uncomfortableâŚmatter of fact, do it until it is no longer uncomfortable.
I donât say these things lightly. I have fought with fear my entire life. At this point, I think itâs a thorn in my side, ensuring I rely upon Christâs strength. These things I am encouraging you to do are NOT EASY. But, itâs also not our fight. Itâs Jesusâ. And guess what...Heâs UNDEFEATED! đŞđđ
Day 23
Daily Reading: SO BE done with every trace of wickedness (depravity, malignity) and all deceit and insincerity (pretense, hypocrisy) and grudges (envy, jealousy) and slander and evil speaking of every kind. Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation, Since you have [already] tasted the goodness and kindness of the Lord. [Ps. 34:8.] ~ 1 Peter 2:1â-âŹ3 AMPC
Insight: I donât know about you, but I want to be done with every trace of wickedness, deceit, insincerity, grudge, slander and evil speaking. Iâm grateful that The Word of God and obedience is all I need to grow! #spiritualmilk #goals
Day 24
Daily Reading: Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should. ~ Colossians 4:2â, âŹ4 NLT
Insight: I could really use your prayers. Earlier this month, I decided to answer a call from God. For the past year, I felt God tug on my heart concerning going to Seminary school.
The timing wasnât the best, so I decided not to, however God knew I wasnât ready. He knew that it would be this moment in which I decided to walk forth and answer this call.Â
As God allows everything to come together to make this happen, I ask that you pray for myself and my family. My boldness and obedience has most certainly gotten the notice of the enemy.Â
If you could lift us up specifically for protection as well as clarity, wisdom and discernment that would be amazing.Â
We are not operating as the church if we canât come to one another with our prayer requests. So as I ask you to pray for me, how can we pray for you? I would love to extend the same for you. If you have a need, please comment or send us a private message or email. We would be honored to pray with you.â¤đđđ
Day 25
Daily Reading: âThey will be my people,â says the Lord of Heavenâs Armies. âOn the day when I act in judgment, they will be my own special treasure. I will spare them as a father spares an obedient child. ~ Malachi 3:17 NLT
Insight: We will all be judged. I know, itâs not fun to think about, especially if we didnât grow up with the Lord. However, if you have repented, your slate has been wiped clean. When God looks upon us, those of us who have accepted Jesus as our savior, all He sees is the righteousness of Christ. And guess what else...we have assurance that Our Father will spare us.
You are treasured! Donât let ANYTHING or ANYONE else make you believe otherwise.đ
Day 26
Daily Reading: So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and donât get tied up again in slavery to the law. ~ Galatians 5:1 NLT
Insight: When I re-dedicated my life to Jesus, I almost became a slave again. I started thinking I needed to do certain things to please God.Â
I thought I needed to dress a certain way, talk a certain way, etc. As I delved into the Bible, I can remember multiple times, the enemy whispering lies, trying to pervert Godâs word and get me to walk right back into slavery.Â
Donât get me wrong, the law is not bad. God is good and therefore all He does is good, but the law is, quite frankly, impossible; impossible for everyone except for Christ, that is. Itâs why Jesus had to die.Â
God, in His sovereignty and omniscience knew something else needed to be done. So, He decided to give up His own perfect Son in order to have a relationship with each and every one of us.Â
Donât let that sacrifice be in vain. What is it you are struggling with today? God knows...He knew youâd be right where you are before you were even born. And He made a way out...just...for...you. Call out to Him...Heâs waiting to be your everything. Heâs always been waiting...â¤â¤â¤â¤
Day 27
Daily Reading: And this is Godâs plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by Godâs children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. ~ Ephesians 3:6 NLT
Insight: Godâs plan is unity. We cannot go any further until we learn to come together, every denomination, for the glory of God. This age will not end until then. God is adamant about not losing anyone to sin and corruption. Itâs why He hasnât sent Christ to return again in judgement. He desires relationship with each and every single one of us.Â
His love knows no bounds. Imagine that for a moment. Imagine if you could put love into a currency you could see, like money. Imagine the amount of money thatâs printed in the world right now. Seems like alot, right? Well, it doesnât even compare to the love God has for each and every one of us. Â
Sometimes, when I try to think about the level of love God has for each of us, I get overwhelmed. My finite mind cannot fathom. It is a beautiful, wonderful, unending love. One in which He does not only promise blessings in this life, but riches in Heaven as well. đ
Day 28
Daily Reading: Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome. For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. ~ 1 John 5:3â-âŹ5 NLT
Insight: Did you know you are meant to overcome this world. Yea, through the power of Christ, you and I are expected to overcome all our shortcomings now as we mature in Christ. And the best part, we have the easiest job when it comes to ensuring this happens. We must simply believe, have faith and keep His commandments.
Remember, God doesnât expect perfection, just our obedience. đđđ
Day 29
Daily Reading: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. ~ Romans 10:9â-âŹ10 NLT
Insight: This is just another verse that speaks volumes. I would just encourage you to speak this over yourself and your family as you pray and meditate on this verse this morning. Remember, we arenât saved because we obey the law. We are saved because we believe. Praise God! đđđđđ
Day 30
Daily Reading: By Godâs grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News.~Â Ephesians 3:7 NLT
Insight: Itâs true. I did nothing to deserve this life I have. I live in a beautiful home with my beautiful family and I have the amazing opportunity to spend my days encouraging them and each and every one of you.Â
Soon, I will have the opportunity to grow in my knowledge of Godâs word and offer even more insight and guidance. Please understand, I do not say these things to brag about me. No, I say all of this to brag on my God. It is only because of Him that I am here. Somehow, He saw fit to save me and I am so incredibly thankful.Â
Itâs why I am committed to serving Him, because without Him, I have no doubt that that I would be dead.Â
God, you are so good! There is none other like you. Thank you for saving me. Thank you for never leaving me nor forsaking me. I love you Lord. In Jesusâ name, Amen. đđđâ¤đđ
AMEN! Sometimes I get overwhelmed thinking I must do more and bigger and even more and much much bigger. But I see now, that I should take each day at a time while concentrating on what I can do at that moment…letting the Holy Spirit take control of the reigns. Because what it boils down to is 1 thing… GOD gets the glory and that’s what and who we’re doing it for. (In my humble opinion)
