💛 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "There Is Powering The Blood" by Alan Jackson. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!
🧡 Daily Verse: We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love.
☆ 2 Corinthians 6:6 NLT
💙 Let's Talk About It: Often times, we try to do things in our strength. We feel as though our understanding, patience, and kindness is of us.
The truth is that these qualities are truly found in the Holy Spirit. We can be kind to those who are kind to us. We can be understanding with those who understand us. We can be patient to those who show us patience. But what about those that don't?
How are we to be kind in the face of hatred? How can we show understanding toward those who blatantly go against our wishes? How can we show patience to the person who is rushing us along?
The simple answer is we can't, not in our own power. It's in those moments that, if we push past our own feelings, the Holy Spirit will minister to us and help us see from the other persons perspective, which further enables us to walk in understanding, kindness, or patience.
The truth is, we can do nothing without God.
💜 Prayer: Father God, I am so thankful for Your Holy Spirit. Lord, I thank You that You guide me and that You show me what true kindness, patience, and understanding is. My God, thank You for teaching me to walk in purity and to let all of the things of this world go. Lord, You, are all I want. May my life be an offering of sacrifice for Your namesake. Jesus, I thank You for Your strength, Your courage and Your unending mercy. Help me to walk in my calling with boldness and fortitude. I love You, Jesus, and in Your name I pray, amen.
