💙 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "Joy" by For KING & COUNTRY. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!
🧡 Daily Verse: I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart.”
☆ Psalms 40:8 NLT
🤍 Let's Talk About It: Joy is something that eludes so many in this world. We see from this verse in Psalms that when we do the will of God we will take joy in doing so.
My Pastor likes to say, you'll find your purpose when passion intersects with your gifting. I have a tendency to believe that when we do what we are designed to do that it brings us such joy, we don't want to stop.
I can relate to this, especially when it comes to writing, singing, creating, and dancing.
When I look back over my childhood, these activities were some that I have done as long as I can remember, especially singing. I think I sang "Jesus Love Me" in my grandma's church for the first time at the age of 4. I remember it vividly. I instantly knew that was something I wanted to do forever; not simply sing, but sing to and about Jesus.
So, what's your passion? What about doing God's will? What do you take joy in doing for Christ?
It may be time to begin to walk in that, friend.
💜 Prayer: Dear God, I thank You that You have created and equipped me for a specific purpose. Lord, I am grateful that I don't have to worry about the what of my calling for I know as long as I follow You in obedience all that You have purposed for my life will come to fruition. Thank You for joy, God. Thank You that in doing Your will, I will find pureness of joy. I am so grateful for Your Holy Spirit that guides me. I love You Jesus and give You all the praise forevermore, amen.
