πŸ’œ Worship:Β If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "Only Grace" by Matthew West. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!Β

πŸ’› Daily Verse: There are six things the Lord hatesβ€” no, seven things he detests: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family.
β˜† Proverbs 6:16‭-‬19 NLT

πŸ’š Let's Talk About It: Does your life resemble any of that which is listed above?
These are all areas some of us may have struggled in before we met Jesus.

Pride-filled eyes of judgement is another way of saying haughty eyes. I used to be very quick to judge. If you would have asked me I would have said I wasn't prideful but rather, insecure.

However, I know this is a sneaky little fox that is identical to pride and the truth is that's because insecurity is just a mechanism by which pride shows itself. It can also look like arrogance or superiority. You'll know if you're fighting with pride if you are quick to judge.

I used to be that too, as I said. It wasn't because I thought myself better than others, but so that only those who I believed wouldn't hurt me would be allowed in. The only problem with walls is that they keep people out, and they keep you in...in your own mind, the negative self-talk, isolated, and comfortable.

We are all a work in progress, so let's do some self-evaluation today and see if we need to rid ourselves of any of these qualities listed in the verses for today. Open yourself up to the Holy Spirit and He will show you.

I have faith that whatever He reveals will be vanquished in the mighty name of Jesus! If you have overcome one of these, then please join me in a prayer of Thanksgiving unto the Lord!

πŸ’™ Prayer: God, there is none like You. Thank You for waking me up to the truth that was my life and for helping me to come into the light. Lord, it is only by Your glory that I can see my own filth, but I am grateful that You help to make me clean. You take my rags and turn them into robes of white. Thank You for saving me, and for sanctifying me, and helping me to persevere. You are a good God and I am grateful for everything You have done, are doing, and will do in my life. I love You, Jesus and in Your name I pray, amen.
