💚 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "Amen (Reborn)" by for KING & COUNTRY ft. Lecrae. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!
💛 Daily Verse: So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do.
☆ 2 Thessalonians 1:11 NLT
💜 Let's Talk About It: I must have had four or five dreams about walking people through the sinners prayer last night; Selma Hayek, the impractical jokers, friends, people in walmart, cashiers in publix. From celebrities to everyday people, no one is exempt from God's grace. He loves EVERYONE!
We need to be better at sharing the Gospel of Jesus with people, not merely inviting them to church. We must be willing to share the Gospel in your day to day life.
Not only that, but we must also be willing to walk through life with those people and disciple them. The Great Commission is trifold.
We aren't called to simply share Jesus, but to baptize, disciple, and teach. That takes time. It takes work. It takes more than an invitation.
How do you share Jesus with people? How does it compare to the call of Christ to get involved in the Great Commission in Matthew 28:16-28?
I haven't always been so bold. Early on, and even now, I still have to fight through the uncomfortability and fear of man. What helps me is that I want to show my self approved before my Master. I don't want to answer His question of "why didn't you do what I said?" with an "I don't know" or "because I was scared" or "I was so uncomfortable."
When we take the focus off ourselves, and place the spotlight back on Christ, we understand that they aren't rejecting us, but Him. And if that doesn't help you walk in understanding, then maybe remembering that the individual is someone's daughter, son, father, or mother will.
No matter what it takes, we are called to persevere and part of perseverance is pushing through the pain, the turmoil, or the fear for God's glory, not our own.
🧡 Prayer: Father God, I thank You for the calling You have placed on my life. I thank You that before the universe was even created, You thought of me and believed the world needed one of me. I thank You for opportunities to share Your precious and powerful Gospel with all those I meet. Lord, I thank You that I need not fear because He who is in me in greater than he that is in the world. Jesus, help me to give my all for You, each and every day. My God, I thank You that You give me strength, provision and strength today and everyday. May You get the glory for all I do, Jesus. In Your mighty name I pray, amen.
