💛 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "No One Like Our God" by Lincoln Brewster. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!

💚 Daily Verse: No one is holy like the Lord! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.
☆ 1 Samuel 2:2 NLT

Let's Talk About It: This is a verse from Hannah's Thanksgiving song to God. After she spent many years barren, God heard her cries and gave her a baby boy.

It is important to understand we all owe God our debt of gratitude and worship when He hears our cries. Hannah had prayed for a long time for a child. Her prayers of anguish had been turned into songs of Thanksgiving. And that should be our response.

When God steps in and takes over, it should be our will that we give Him praise for it. The same mouth we use to ask, should be used to give thanks. Our worship is payment for God's faithfulness and kindness.

If you notice, Hannah isn't rejoicing over the answer to the prayer (the child himself), but to the One who answered. She is thanking Him for who He is.

It is also interesting that the Bible speaks of how her prayers for a child were prayed in her heart and understood through her groanings of despair. Yet now, she opens her mouth and sings about His goodness.

God deserves the glory for what He does in our lives. Let us each take a moment to thank Him for who He is and not just for what He has done.

🧡 Prayer: Father, I am in awe of everything You have done in my life. Lord, without Your help, I would not be here to praise You. You saved me from myself and so many other things. You are so faithful and so good. I am nothing without You. Thank You for providing me not only with everything I need, but many many things my heart desires. Lord, even when I cannot speak, You hear my cries and answer. Thank You for protecting me and my family, for the beautiful home you have blessed us with, and for the unending grace and mercy You pour out on us. LORD, there is none like You. You reign supreme. May the entire world confess Your might and goodness. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
