💙 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "Trust" by 7eventh Time Down. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!
🧡 Daily Verse: Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
☆ Philippians 2:3â€-‬4 NLT
💜 Let's Talk About It: The NT church made it a point to share their belongings. If someone was in need, all they had to do was say the word amd those who had, gave.
Do you think the church embodies that today? I'm sure there are some who do. In fact, I had a need a couple weeks ago and God used someone to meet that need in a matter of minutes.
See, when we put others before ourselves it breaks the bondage of pride. It takes selfishness, and makes it kneel before generosity. Thinking about others and placing them higher than ourselves doesn't just benefit them, it benefits us as well.
It allows us the opportunity to be a blessing to someone, to be used by God, and to be break free from ourselves. We can't think about us when we're busy trying to be a blessing and shine the light of Christ.
So, today friends, I want to challenge you to do something for someone. Maybe it's someone you know, or maybe it's someone you don't know. Push past yourself and the uncomfortability and show someone the love of God today. And remember, it doesn't just benefit them, God will bless you for it as well.
💚 Prayer: Dear God, thank You for Your faithfulness and for showing me how to be Your hands and feet. Lord, help me to break free from any selfish desires or motives I may have and help me to put others before myself. Jesus, You are the greatest example of what love looks like. Teach me to love as You love and see people as You see them. I give You all the honor and praise, God, for what You are doing in my life. You alone deserve all the glory. I love You Jesus and in Your mighty name I pray, amen!
