💚 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "Waymaker" by Leeland. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!

💛 Daily Verse: The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
☆ Psalms 9:9 NLT

💜 Let's Talk About It: I have been in some pretty desperate situations in my life.

And even when I wasn't serving God, I can look back now and see His hand in my life. He was always reaching out, and I was so oblivious, I didn't recognize Him then.

He is my refuge in times of trouble. The truth is, He is my refuge even when I'm not in trouble.

It may be my natural inclination towards worship that has led me to learn a profound lesson and one I am so grateful for. It is: "when we worship God, there is room for anying else."

Our problems melt away when we step into His presence. We cannot focus on the world when we worship. There is only God. It is there that He uplifts us and downloads special revelations of who He is.

And worship is so much more than what we do in church on Sunday. It is a way of life. It's consulting God in the big things, and the little things, even the everyday things.

I made my own decisions for a long time, and it took me to some pretty dark places. I don't want to do life without God. I want Him in all areas. He is my refuge, not just in times of trouble, but at all times.

Remember a situation before you knew God, can you see His sovereign hand in the midst of it now as you look back?

💙 Prayer: Dear Father, there is no one like You. You are a good, GOOD, Father. Even before I surrendered my life to You, You rescued me from certain death. Thank you, Lord for choosing me to represent Your Kingdom. While I see a broken vessel, you see a friend. I am forever grateful for your mercy and strength. Thank you for always being my refuge and for guiding me, Holy Spirit, day in and day out. Jesus, help me to be a light to those around me and share your Gospel with others. Use me, Lord, in a new way! May Your will be done, God. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
