🧡 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "Testify" by Social Club Misfits Ft. Crowder. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!Â
💚 Daily Verse: Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished. If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home.
☆ Psalms 91:1â€-‬10 NLT
💛 Let's Talk About It: We find another condition in our promise today, but to be honest, that's not where I want to focus.
I was drawn in by this excerpt, especially when I read, "His faithful promises are your armor and protection." Only God promises more within a promise, am I right?!
His promises are our armor and protection. Yes, I am repeating it. And I'm doing it on purpose. When we see repetition in the Bible, its usually there for emphasis, meaning, we need to dog deeper.
So, today, deeper we shall go! For those who want to go deeper that is. Some choose to play it safe, but sometimes, you got to be willing to jump. After all, God will either catch you or help you fly. He is always faithful!
Anyhow, my husband and I have been given a promise from God. The reason we don't cower in fear when things in the natural begin to go sideways or in an opposite direction of that dream, is because we stand on that dream.
For instance, if you knew the president was coming, you'd expect him. If he was delayed, that doesn't change your expectation, but simply the timing of the expectation to be met.
The same is so with God. He is faithful and His promises are for us to stand on; in the face of our adversaries, our shortcomings, our fears, our worries, and even our doubts.
God is so good! Only He can make promises within promises! Which part of this scripture reading spoke out to you most?
💙 Prayer: Dear Lord, there is none like you. You are so amazing and awesome and majestic and I am in awe of your magnificence. Father, thank you for choosing me. Thank you for redeeming me. And thank you for guiding me, Holy Spirit. Jesus, thank you for taking me in and washing me and cleansing me from my sin. MY GOD, you are a mighty Father. Thank you for blessing me. Thank you for each and every promise you've given me. Because of you, Lord, I rest easy at night knowing you watch over me, protect me and love me. Thank you for looking after me and my family. Help me to be a blessing to someone today Lord. May your will be done, God. I love you Jesus and in your name I pray, amen.
