💜 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "The Same Jesus" by Matt Redman. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!

💛 Daily Verse: “You must serve only the Lord your God. If you do, I will bless you with food and water, and I will protect you from illness.
☆ Exodus 23:25 NLT

🧡 Let's Talk About It: Many people today do not see the benefit in the old testament. They say we don't live by the law and that there's no need for those old scriptures.

To that I must say, I don't agree. The OT shows us a picture of the perfection that is God. It typifies Christ in a multitude of ways.

Our song reminds us that Jesus is God. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So if there are certain blessings with conditions attached for the Israelites, the conditions may be the same for us.

That is not to say that we are blessed by works, but by our faithfulness; to keep pushing forward with fortitude when in the natural everything screams HALT.

Today we read that if we trust in God, and God alone, we will be blessed with good health and sustenance. Like the Israelites in the wilderness, we will be given manna (heavenly nourishment) as well as procure nourishment in the natural.

Our God came to earth to set us free, but we have to be willing to walk in that freedom, and in doing so, acknowledge that He IS the only God we serve.

Do you have idols in your life? What's impacting you spending time with the Lord most and how does that affect your relationship with him?

❀ Prayer: Father God I am so thankful for each and every promise you've given me in your Word. Thank you for giving me food and keeping me and my family from illness. I choose you Lord and choose to put you first. Thank you for your protection. I am so grateful for you Jesus. Please help me to be better at trusting you. I believe Lord, but help my unbelief. Thank you, Holy spirit for guiding me and giving me discernment. I pray your will be done, God. I give you all the praise and honor forever and ever. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
