Daily Devotional - March 16, 2021

💚 Daily Verse: The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?

💛 Let's Talk About It: When you drink in this verse, it sure is satisfying! Think about it...our God is our fortress!

The Hebrew word translated "fortress" is Maôz which means "rock".

Is Christ your rock?

It is in Him that we find strength, hope, protection, and security. He alone is our light and salvation.

So much richness here...

I believe Paul understood when he penned Romans 8:31, "What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?"

I don't know who needs to hear this today, but friend, you are protected by the God of all Creation! As Isaiah says, no weapon formed against you will prosper (Is. 54:17)! Christ is our rock, or defense, our ever-present help in times of need.

He preserves us while we persevere! No matter what you face today, you ARE an overcomer, child of God. You are more precious than rubies!

While I know some seasons sure do get dark and difficult, you're not staying here forever, you're merely passing through.

And for some of you, you better get ready because God is about to enlarge your territory in a BIG way!

💜 Prayer: Dear God, I am so grateful for every single beautiful promise contained within your Word. Thank you for teaching me, guiding me, and directing me, Holy Spirit. Lord, thank you for being my rock, my protection and my defense. You are so good and I am so grateful to be called your friend. Lord, help me to shine your light and love like you do Jesus.
