💙 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "How He Loves" by Jesus Culture. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!
❤ Daily Verse: See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.
☆ 1 John 3:1 NLT
💜 Let's Talk About It: Studying this verse, I can understand how some may not be able to truly understand what this scripture means in the fullest sense because we have damaged relationships with our earthly fathers. Due to that, we perceive our Heavenly Father through smudged, mud-covered lenses.
But then I came across a quote that opened my eyes and I am eager to share it with you all.
"Think of the dream father, one that loved you more than life itself, one who was always there when you needed him. One who loved to provide for you lavishly. One who was intensely interested in every aspect of your life. That is what God wants to be to you." - Chuck Smith
Today, I am praying that we all would come and lay our misconceptions of the Father at the feet of Jesus. If we ask for wisdom, God is faithful, and if we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us.
In order to learn who our Heavenly Father is, we must be willing to spend time in the Word and in prayer.
For those who are weary today, I am praying for your strength. May God empower you. Allow me to encourage you to get back up, friend.
We all fall short. Keep pushing forward, even if you are taking baby steps. There is forgiveness with repentance. Jesus loves you!
💚 Prayer: Dear God, you are such a good Father. Even when we cannot perceive You in Your fullness, You love us unconditionally. In a world with conditions attached to everything, i am thankful you are faithful.
I am so thankful for you Jesus, for your sacrifice and for giving me a beautiful example to follow. Direct me Lord, for I wish to walk in your will. Help me to say no to that which you desire me to let go of and have boldness to walk in obedience, speaking life over all those I encounter. I love you Jesus, and in your name I pray, amen.
