💛 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "Greater Things" by Matt Brock. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!
💙 Daily Verse: “Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you! See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. Always in my mind is a picture of Jerusalem’s walls in ruins.
☆ Isaiah 49:15-16 NLT
💚 Let's Talk About It: To understand the context of these verses we must understand that what we are reading is God's response to people claiming that He's forgotten or become uncaring towards the Israelites.
I don't know about you, but my heart skipped a beat when I read that God has written the name of His people on His hands.
He remembers what devastation sin has brought to our lives.
For some of us, much of the sin is due to other's actions. Children do not asked to be abused, molested, or neglected. Teenagers don't always run away, sometimes they're run off, or worse, pimped out.
Not everyone's life started as rainbows and butterflies. And for those who started that way, I can guarantee it didn't stay that way forever.
But glory to God, He loved us enough not to leave us in the mess He found us in-whether we created it ourselves or it was fashioned by others hellbent on having their own way!
Hallelujah! His mercies are new every morning (Lam. 3:22-23). Join me in crying out in praise for God's faithful love!
💜 Prayer: Father God, there is no other greater than you! You are the only Living God. Yahweh, thank you for your precious Son and powerful Holy Spirit. I couldn't do life without your strength. Most days I feel like a bumbling mess, but you remind me I am Yours, I am hold, I am courageous, I am loved, I am saved, I am healed, and I am free from sin! Praise you God! Thank you Lord! Help me to die to myself Daily and step out in faith even in the face of fear. May Your will be done, Father, on earth as it is in Heaven. In your mighty name, Jesus, I pray, amen.
