ð Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "Help Is On The Way (Maybe Midnight)" by Toby Mac. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!
â€Â Daily Verse: Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever!
â 1 Corinthians 13:4â-â¬8 NLT
ð Let's Talk About It: Today, we focus on how to love others. We spent time looking at what love was yesterday and continue with that today.
Some of the things I like to do to love on others is being a listening ear, offering advice, offering encouragement, praying for the person, offering to pay for meals, making and/or giving gifts, spending time with the person, helping with chores or cooking, and most of all, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This is not an exhaustive list, by any means, but it helps others get an idea what types of actions help others feel loved, and there is no greater act of love than to share the love of Christ with others.
Some may be intimidated by speaking about Jesus, and to that I must ask (and I apologize in advance of it doesn't come out as tactfully as I desire - tact is something the Lord is teaching me) would you be embarrassed to share a heroic story of another friend of yours?
If Jesus is our friend, and we know Him, speaking about Him and what He's done isn't difficult. The Bible says if we deny Him before people, He will deny us when we stand before the Father (Matt. 20:33).
Have you ever thought of sharing the Gospel as an act of love? What acts of love do you show to others?
ð Prayer: Father God, I am so thankful to have another opportunity to share your love and grace with others today. As I walk through my day, help me to see how I can be a blessing to others; whether that be holding a door open or paying for someone's meal or sharing your life-changing Gospel. Thank you, Jesus, for rescuing me and loving me even when I didn't love myself. You are a good God and I am so thankful for what you have done in my life. May your will be done God! In Jesus name I pray, amen.
