💜 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "At The Cross (Love Ran Red) " by Chris Tomlin. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!
💙 Daily Verse: So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
☆ John 13:34-35 NLT
🧡 Let's Talk About It: One of the things God has really been teaching me this season is what it means to love like Christ.
It is a love that is without judgment and os sacrificial. It is explained really well by Paul, so, today we will ruminate on what love is so we can become better at loving others.
"¹If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. ²If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing (1 Corinthians 13:1-2 NLT)."
"³If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. ⁴Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud ⁵or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged (1 Corinthians 13:13-5NLT)."
"⁶It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. ⁷Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. ⁸Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever (1 Corinthians 13:6-8 NLT)."
💚 Prayer: Father God, I am so thankful for your Word and the teaching it provides me and my family. Thank you for loving me and teaching me, in word and deed, how to love others. Thank you for providing me with spiritually mature friends who help direct our steps. Thank you God for helping me be compassionate, understanding, kind, and non-judgmental towards people. Jesus, there is no one who compares to you and I am grateful for your example of love. Thank you Lord, for your sacrifice. I give you all my praise forever and ever. In Jesus name I pray amen.
