💙 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "Man of Your Word" by Maverick City Music. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!
💛 Daily Verse: For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
☆ Isaiah 54:10 NLT
💚 Let's Talk About It: After John 3:16, I believe this might be the second closest verse to capturing the immensity of God's love.
If the earth changes and the hills disappear, God's love will still remain. This is such a sweet promise for us to hold on to, especially when we are facing obstacles, giants, or mountains in our lives. Nothing can stop God from loving each and every one of us.
In addition to the promise that God's love will never end, we also read that His covenant promises will not be broken.
In a day and age where contracts are celebrated and covenant has long since been forgotten, this may be hard for some to wrap their minds around. At one point in time, however, people kept their word - no contract needed.
In fact, all anyone had was their word. Whether we wish to believe it or not, it's all we have when it comes to God. In addition, the Bible reminds us we must keep our promises made to the Lord.
"A man who makes a vow to the Lord or makes a pledge under oath must never break it. He must do exactly what he said he would do
(Numbers 30:2 NLT)."
Is there something you've pledged to do for Jesus? Then it's time to get started!
❤ Prayer: Father God, thank you for giving me another chance to live for you this day. Thank you, God, for helping me see that there is value to my life and that it is YOU that determines my value, not the world around me. Thank you God for keeping your promises. Help me to do the same. Lord, help me to keep my promises, and please help remove any road blocks that may be causing a delay in either mine or Your promises being fulfilled. I thank you, Holy Spirit, for guiding me daily. I am nothing without you, God, and I thank you for showing me that there is purpose and love interwoven throughout my life. There is no such thing as chance, God, just divine appointment and your precious sovereignty. I love you, Jesus and in your name I pray, amen.
