❤ Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "I Give Myself Away" by William McDowell. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!
💜 Daily Verse: There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
☆ John 15:13 NLT
💛 Let's Talk About It: My hubby relates to this verse deeply because as a veteran, he understands the sacrifice many have made for each of us.
The truth is, there are millions of men and women veterans that are still paying that price due to seen, as well as hidden, hurts; PTSD, amputations, MTS (military sexual trauma), shrapnel, just to name a few.
However, nothing compares to the sacrifice Christ made for each and every one of us. He's just about the only person who can help the broken.
How do I know? Because I was broken. Honestly, I still feel that way many days, but the truth is, as scripture states, I'm already seated in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6).
I will not pretend to understand what mountain or giant you are facing today, sweet friend, but I can point you to the One Who can. 👇
Jesus. ✝️
He understands every kind of brokenness because He too "was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all (Isaiah 53:5-6)."
💙 Prayer: Father God, when I think about your immense love, my mind cannot fathom the magnitude. I think about the love I have for my loves ones and I know your live for each of us pales in comparison. Thank you for loving me, even as a sinner. Thank you for sending your Son as the ultimate sacrifice. Jesus, thank you for being a friend that sticks closer than any brother. I love you and give you all the glory, God, forever! In Jesus name I pray, amen.
