Pattern - Daily Devotional - April 7, 2021

💛 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "Nothing But Good" by Chris Quilala. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!

💚 Daily Verse: When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.  He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me.
☆ John 16:13‭-‬14 NLT

💙 Let's Talk About It: Many of us believers who have accepted the gift that is Salvation understand that the Holy Spirit is the person who has led us to the truth that Christ is the Son of God.

We understand all that He does day in and day out for us, but I want to go over all the different aspects of His role in the NT believers life.

Firstly, we must understand the Holy Spirit is our teacher. I believe this is why we are told not to call others teacher (Matt. 23:8) because no one can teach us and lead us in truth like the Spirit of Truth Himself.

Second, the Holy Spirit bestows spiritual gifts. I don't want to go into too much detail concerning this as we will be discussing them in more detail over the next few days.

Additionally, the Holy Spirit is responsible for regeneration, conversion, conviction of sin, santification, and empowering the Christian in their day to day life. All of these will be discussed in more detail as the month progresses. However, I wanted you to be able to see all that the Holy Spirit is doing for you and I each and every single day.

What is one way in which you see the Holy Spirit working in your life today?

❀ Prayer: Dear Father, thank You for Your precious Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, thank You for all You do for me day in and day out- that which I see and understand and even that which I don't. I thank You Jesus, for giving me the ability to walk through life with You. You alone are worthy to be praised, God. I thank You and exhault Your mighty name. You have been nothing but good to me God and I am so thankful. I love You Jesus and in Your mighty name I pray, amen.
