💙 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "It Is Well" by Bethel Music. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!
💚Daily Verse: So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
☆ Galatians 6:9 NLT
💛 Let's Talk About It: God is so faithful! The next step on our salvation that the Holy Spirit helps us with is perseverance.
While you may be inclined to think that we must persevere, the reality is that it is more so God preserving the saints. What I mean is, because of God's preserving grace we will persevere in salvation and never fall from grace.
I understand if you have a hard time comprehending this. Many churches and teachers have made it seem like it's up to you to decide whether you will stay saved, but the truth is, as the Word has explains, we ARE eternally secure.
This is why Paul mentioned several times that this does not give us the ability to live any way we want, but that we must walk in God's will. The hyper-grace movement is dying, as it should, for where the light resides there can be no darkness.
Those for whom Christ dies, who were called, justified, and adopted will continue to grow in grace. As we extend it to others and love others like Jesus, God teaches us how to walk more like Christ and talk more like Him as well.
John shares how Jesus said that no one can take us away from Him or snatch us from His hand (John 10:27-30). Paul reminds us that God is faithful and it He started a good work in us, He will complete it (Phil. 1:6).
Paul further reminds us that no one can accuse those in Christ; No one can condemn us, and no one can separate us from His love either. He further explains that NOTHING can separate us from God.
So, I encourage you today, dear friend, though you may have fallen, a righteous man (or woman) gets back up (Proverbs 24:16)!
💜 Prayer: My God, my Savior, thank You for preserving me so that I may persevere. Thank You for teaching me that though things don't always go my way and it is not always comfortable or easy to walk in Your ways, it is possible. Jesus, thank You for giving me an example to follow. Holy Spirit, thank You for teaching me how to walk in the ways of the Lord. Father, You know how lost I used to be (and still am). When I look back, all I see is Your hand on my life. Lord, I pray that You would continue to teach me and guide me. Protect those I love and help me to share Your Good News, God, with those You put in my path. May Your will be done, Abba, on earth as it is heaven. I love You Jesus and in Your mighty name I pray, amen.
