💛 Let's Talk About It: I just love this verse because, to me, it conveys the power of the Holy Spirit, especially as it pertains to our salvation.
As Paul so eloquently put it, our salvation came through the Spirit. It is He who drew us in to even respond to the Gospel message. It is a message of hope. It is a message of strength and renewal, and it is for anyone who wishes to respond.
There isn't one dirty enough that God can't make clean. Every example of humanity in the Good Book is that of a broken individual, yet, God used them...and He can use you too.
Remember the gifts of the Spirit, He expects you to use what you've been given. Sure, we may not stand and account for every sin (because when we asked, we were forgiven for all, even that which we have yet to do), but we will account for all the opportunities we've been given to introduce others to our Lord and Savior, Jesus. I don't know about you, but I want to hear "well done my good and faithful servant." not "well, you're done."
Our salvation is a gift, another gift of the Spirit (in the broadest sense). It is so that none of us can boast.
When is the last time you shared your faith with someone? When have you encouraged a prodigal to come home?
I'm not talking about inviting your family to church. I'm talking about sharing the Gospel with someone directly. We will answer to God for why we missed the mark and whether or not we fulfilled the Great Comission.
🧡 Prayer: Dear God, I thank You for giving me the opportunity to share my faith with others every single day. I thank You that You are a good God that looks after me and cares for me. I especially thank You for the Holy Spirit and for choosing me. Lord, thank You for washing me and making me new. I love You Jesus and I pray in Your mighty name, amen.
