❤ Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "New Day" by Danny Gokey. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!
💚 Daily Verse: There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”
☆ Acts of the Apostles 4:12 NLT
💛 Let's Talk About It: We all know there is only one way to be saved and that is belief in Jesus Christ. However, did you know just how much of the Salvation process is taken care of by the Holy Spirit?
That's right! He is responsible for justification, regeneration, and so much more, but before I get ahead of myself. I want to explain what justification is. It is the fact the you have been justified or made right in God's sight due to the imputation of Christ's atonement on the Cross.
This is why none of us can boast. It is instantaneous. Many probably don't report feeling anything special, but the truth remains that the act of salvation is special indeed.
There is a time dimension to salvation as well.
We have been saved = justification
We are being saved = sanctification
We shall be saved = glorification
We will speak more about each of these in the coming days, but let's take an opportunity to thank God for using His precious Holy Spirit to save each and every one of us today.
Like the song says the old has passed away, it is a new day!
🧡 Prayer: Dear God, thank You for saving me. Lord, I know that if You had not drawn me to You, I would never had the chance to even respond to the Gospel message. I know that without Your Holy Spirit, I could not be sanctified. I thank You, Lord, for the gift of that is the Holy Spirit. He is truly a comforter and friend to me. Thank You for guiding my decisions day-in and day-out. But mostly, thank You for saving a wretch like me. I love You Jesus and I devote my life to encouraging and inspiring others with Your Word. May You get all the glory, God, forever and ever. In Jesus mighty name I pray, amen.
