🧡 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "Prophesy" by Planetahakers. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!

💜 Daily Verse: He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.
☆ 1 Corinthians 12:10 NLT

💚 Let's Talk About It: The gift of prophecy is considered a miraculous gift. But what about when the prophet is wrong?

Well, firstly, I wouldn't go co-signing God's name to anything unless He tells you to. Otherwise, you'll be held liable for that which you said came from Him.

Additionally, God used prophets during a time in which His Holy Spirit was not accessible to everyone like He is today. Some people believe the office of prophet is no longer relevant. Others hold them in high esteem, seeking their opinion more than God's.

The secret, friends, is balance. No one is higher than God. And if someone comes speaking in His name, be wise and test what they say against scripture. Surely God will not contradict His Word.

💙 Prayer: Dear God, I thank You for every gift, even the gift of prophecy. I thank You for Your Word that testifies of Your goodness and mercy. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit who directs my steps and leads me in all truth. Lord, I pray that Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Thank You for reminding us that You don't contradict Yourself but that You are true to Your Word. Jesus, I love You and in Your name I pray, amen.
