💚 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "Here As In Heaven" by Elevation Worship. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!
💙 Daily Verse: Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.
☆ 1 Peter 4:11 NLT
❤ Let's Talk About It: The final passage concerning gifts is that from the Apostle Peter. He brings up two important gifts that many take for granted. They are speaking and service.
Have you ever ran into someone who just had a way of putting things that helped you understand? This is a valuable gift whereas it concerns the Kingdom as much of the Word can be misunderstood by readers. So, having someone who can help one understand is valuable, indeed.
If we take our speaking and use it as an act of service through teaching, it can make quite a difference in the lives of believers, am I right?
The church has a way of holding some gifts on a pedestal while disregarding others, and this should not be. The prophets are not better than the teachers and they are not better than the miracle workers, or those who speak in tongues.
Again, all gifts are given to edify the church, not for individual glory.
💛 Prayer: Dear God, I thank You for each and every gift You have given to Your body. I thank You that You direct my steps and that You speak through my writing to those who read these devotionals everyday. Lord, I pray that Your will be done, and that I wouldn't say anything You haven't given me clearance to say. Thank you for helping me and my family grow in Your love God. May I continue to grow close to you. Thank you for healing me and everyone else in my home. You are a good, good Father and I love You very much. I give You all the glory forever. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
