💜 Let's Talk About It: When's the last time you checked in on the people God has placed in your inner circle? With all that's going on, it's easy to forget that we are not the only ones struggling.

If I'm being honest, I am not the best at this. My role as wife and homeschool mom plus seminary student has led to my days being so packed full of things to do, I'm lucky I have time to workout and shower everyday. Most days, I think about friends, but find myself distracted before I can reach out. Before I know it, a few more days have gone by and I still haven't reached out. Granted, it's easier nowadays through text, but it's so informal. However, it's better than nothing.

Today, I know God is definitely speaking to me concerning this. There are a couple people I haven't spoken to in a few months and while I have prayed fervently for them and they've been on my mind frequently, I have yet to tell them that.

Maybe you're like me and you stretch yourself so thin that you're nearly too busy to even care for yourself most days, but that's no excuse to neglect our friends. I dunno about you, but I'm taking a moment to reach out today, and so should you (if you need to).

💙 Prayer: Dear Father, thank you for this day. Thank you for reminding me that my reaching out to people matters. Thank you for reminding me the importance of encouragement. Lord, forgive me for being forgetful or too busy for others. Help me to be more intentional on checking in with those I love. Lord Jesus, thank you for your mercy and grace. Lord, without you, I'd be lost. Father, I pray Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Thank you for all that you are doing in my life. Help me to shine your light. I love you Jesus and in your name I pray, amen.
