Daily Devotional ~ Better Word
💙 Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "Better Word" by Leeland. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!
🧡 Daily Verse: So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.
☆ Ephesians 1:6-7 NLT
💛 Let's Talk About It: This world has a way of getting to us, breaking us down, and skewing our thoughts and eventually our views. If we aren't careful, and don't keep the right perspective, we can succumb to a whole host of issues.
God went through something incredible on your behalf. He came to earth as a man just to die for YOU. Yes, YOU. God wanted all our messes, imperfections, shame, grievances, and most importantly, sin and bondage. Not because He doesn't like us, but because He loves us and wants to make us whole.
Like Jeremiah, He wants to give each of us a hope and future, however we can't take advantage while we are stuck in a jail cell. Christ's blood, however, was the key that opened every cell, for every person, no matter what horrific things they may have done.
The Bible says ALL have fallen short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23). Not one man (other than Christ) is without sin (Rom. 3:10). It is the blood of Christ that redeems us!
What are you thankful to have been set free from? I am grateful to be free from addiction and people pleasing. God is who I please and people are who I help. Only the blood of Christ can help shift our perspective back to a healthy and wholesome place. What are you grateful to be free from or how has Jesus changed your life?
❤ Additional Reading: In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.
☆ Hebrews 9:22 NLT
But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
☆ 1 John 1:7 NLT
After supper he took another cup of wine and said, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood, which is poured out as a sacrifice for you. ☆ Luke 22:20 NLT
💜 Prayer: Dear Lord, there is none like you. You God, are good and I give you praise today and will continue to do so all my days. Tha k you for healing my family and protecting them from any sickness. Thank you for your provision and safe keeping. Lord, as we abide in your shadow, we thank you for your unending grace and favor. Thank you Jesus, for your blood..for laying down your life as a sacrifice. I am nothing without you, Lord, thank you for saving me. Help me be your hands and feet today as I bless those you have allowed me to. I love you Jesus and in your name I pray, amen.
