🧡 Let's Talk About It: Has anyone else done this? God showed me recently how I was trying to seek Him through works again. I think this is a slippery road we all find ourselves on at different times in life.

It's difficult to remember we don't live for ourselves when that's the only body we see and have. Sure, the Holy Spirit lives and dwells within, but am I the only one who struggles with the fact that the Spirit is not tangible at times? I can't give Christ a hug in a literal sense when I'm hurting. I can't see God. But yet...He's always with me.

It's these kinds of thoughts that give way to the feeling that we need to take charge and do what we can for the Lord. And it's those thoughts that pull us further away from God and more into ourselves.

Do you see the vicious cycle yet?

Paul admonishes us time and time again that grace is a GIFT. We could never earn it, and that's alright, because it wasn't God's plan for us to have to. The Law was never meant to condemn but to cajole. It showcases the absolute perfection of our God-of Christ!

It's only through grace we are saved and that's made available by Christ and what He did. We have nothing to do with it, and I'm convinced we're better off that way!

Thank you for helping me let go of all that I cannot change and for giving me boldness to make the necessary changes you need me to make in life.
