Let's Talk About It: Sometimes in life, God will call us into hiding. While there are many different reasons and purposes for such, the main reason is to gain intimacy and closeness.

God wants to be close to us, and wants our full attention. This is evident in verses like 1 Corinthians 10:31 & Colossians 3:17. We can be living everyday life and still be focused on serving God. That's exactly what He desires.

Have you thought about what God is using this time to speak to you about? Why He's called His church into their homes? I believe it is to prepare His bride.

That's what God did with Elijah in the verses for today, God allowed him refuge and rest. Afterward, God called Elijah to a widow's house to eat. In reality, God allowed for Elijah to be there to heal her son who would fall ill soon after his arrival. Never the less, Elijah was prepared to assist because of the provision God made for him. He blessed them both by sending Elijah to this place. Who can you bless where you are right now?

I know it may be hard to fathom but what if this current season is in preparation for your next? What if God has called us all into a place of seclusion so that He can prepare us for what is coming? Will you heed His call to just come rest in His presence for now? Will you allow yourself to be hidden?

Prayer: Dear God, thank you for this day. Lord, thank you for giving me another opportunity to serve you. There is no one like you, God. Thank you for your provision, mercy, love, grace, and protection. Lord Jesus, I thank you that you alone are my refuge. Help me to be your hands and feet - to see people as you see them and to love them like you love them. Lord, I know it's alot to ask, but I pray you would provide every single person with the opportunity to hear from you today. Your church is listening. We are waiting. May Your will be done, God, today and everyday. I love you Jesus, and in your name I pray, amen.
