Daily Devotional ~ Childlike Faith

Clothing - Daily Devotional ~ Childlike Faith

Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "King of My Heart" by Bethel Music. Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you?!

Daily Verse: “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going.”
☆ John 14:1‭-‬4 NLT

Let's Talk About It: Those words in red...they always take my breath away. Go read the daily verses again. Yes, really...just one more time.

You know the way! So simple when we think about it really, but our adult minds try desperately to overcomplicate it. This must be why we are instructed to have childlike faith.

Children...they're so trusting! It's a scary world we live in, but their innocence is pure. That's how God wants us to be...innocent & pure.

It's not easy. In fact, it feels downright impossible some days if I'm being honest, but an infant doesn't stop trying to crawl, or walk, for that matter. No, just like a righteous man, infants get back up and try again.

Children do not understand the concept of quitting. Perseverance is encoded in each and every one of our DNA as humans because we are made in God's image, and He is everlasting.

Some days are not as easy as others. Some not as comfortable. Others are a tad scarier. But we don't stop looking forward to the moment Jesus comes back to get us. What a wonderous day that will be!

Chin up, sweet friend. Jesus is faithful. He will NEVER let us down!

Additional Reading: Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
☆ Matthew 18:2‭-‬4 NLT

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for this day. Father, you are the sovereign God, Creator of the Universe, and this morning, as I stand in awe of Creation, I marvel at the breadth of your love. Who can stand against the Lord, no one! Father, today I pray protection over my family. I know it's unorthodox, but Father, I pray you would touch each and every life today. Lord, send your angels down from heaven to comfort your people, to heal those who have lost all hope. Lord Jesus, thank you for being with me each and everyday. I don't know what I would do without you, Lord, thank you for saving me, and for helping me learn who I am in you. Thank you for all you do for my family and I. I love you Jesus, and in your name I pray, amen!
