Daily Devotional ~ God's Still Working

Face - Daily Devotional ~ God's Still Working

Worship: If you'd like to play a song before you begin or while you read, may we recommend "Unfinished" by Mandisa (Man-dee-sah). Why not try asking alexa, siri, or google to play it for you!

Daily Verse: But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.
☆ Psalms 73:28 NLT

Let's Talk About It: When's the last time you told someone about the wonderful things God has done for you?

Can I be honest? I was challenged to give a 2-3 minute testimony last Friday. I did not accomplish the challenge.

Like the writer in the beginning of this psalm, my focus was in the wrong direction. Instead of thinking what I could share, I thought about how I was unsure about what to share and why anyone should listen to me in the first place.

The truth is, I let doubt and fear creep in. Me, get in front of a camera and testify? That's not me...

Or is it?

It may not be who I was, but it is who I am called to be...one who "will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do."

So, as I prepare to create a 2-3 minute video testimony, remember, just because the old you couldn't do something, doesn't mean the new you is incapable. The truth is, we're hidden in Christ, and only He knows what we're capable of!

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for this wonderful day. Thank you for never leaving me nor forsaking me. Thank you Jesus for another chance to shower people with your love. Help me, Jesus, be the person you know me to be. Help me to push past my comfort zone and do what you've called me to do. Elohim, my God, who is like you? There is no one who compares. The breadth of your glory and love is unfathomable. You stand alone. You reign supreme. Thank you, Jesus, for touching each and evey person struggling with pain today; whether it be physical pain, emotional pain, or any other stress that may have brought on psychosomatic symptoms. Father, you know the beginning from the end. I pray that you would shine your glorious light upon us and your will be done. I love you Jesus and it is in your name I pray, amen.
