Apologetics - Continue Your Race!
Welcome back and thank you for taking time out of your busy day to read our post.
This will be our last post on apologetics. We hope there was something in the posts that proved helpful in clearing up any questions you may have on this season’s topic.
Instead of ending with another topic, I desire to encourage you, sharers of the Gospel. Do not be discouraged if the person you’re speaking to does not accept the Gospel, even if after you used apologetics. Be sure to show the same kindness you used when introducing yourself upon leaving, regardless of whether the individual accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior or not. Remember they do not reject you; they’re rejecting the One who sent you.
“The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9 [HCSB])” This is evidence that God loves all of us. How much? Well, “For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 [HCSB])” One reason God did this is because none of us could do it on our own. We all need Jesus.
Some do not know from where their help came from nor where their help comes from. It’s not our job to condemn nor judge the nonbeliever. It’s our job to point them to Jesus. Jesus Himself was not sent to point fingers. “For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. (John 3:17 [HCSB])”
Do not give up. Finish your race. Take hold of God’s promise in Psalms 32:8 as your personal verse and promise when you share the Gospel. Always remember, there was a time when we were not followers of Christ, and someone had to share the Gospel to us. If we, who have been entrusted with the truth do not share it to those who do not know the truth, then how will they ever know?
Thank you again for your support, comments, and attention. God bless you and may His favor be poured out upon you as you go where He says go and do what He says do.
